Why Sujit Choudhry’s role as a constitutional expert remains to be significant

For over a decade, Sujit Choudhry has demonstrated his knowledge as a legal expert through various platforms. One of the recent platforms is a discussion of experts on the Ukraine government’s semi-presidential structure. Among the notable experts that joined him in the deliberations was Sumit Bisarya from International IDEA, the president’s advisor and Vladimir Vasilenko who is a representative of Ukraine’s Human Right. All the experts involved have a broad knowledge of the topic of discussion hence their contributions were of great essence. Choudhry noted that involvement of transitional democracies that is currently ongoing was essential in the collection as well as discussion of policy options. He acknowledged that attention to presidency power, weak political parties as well as parliament’s electoral system have led to instability in the democratization of Ukraine.
